Born in 1942 in Memel (Prussia). He was only two years old when his family fled west because of the war. After completing studies teachers got his first job as a primary school teacher in Kiel. Unable to implement its educational ideals left this profession and moved to Lüneburg, where he studied psychology and sociology, he specialized in Gestalt Psychotherapy and opened his own practice in Dortmund. In 1994 he founded a clearing in this city. Two years later he donated all his property and from intone live without money.
