Hélène Cixous (Oran, Algeria, 1937) is currently one of the most recognized by critics, both journalistic French writers (all his later books have earned rave reviews in Le Monde, Libération, Le Figaro Magazine littéraire, etc.) as an academic (is Doctor honoris causa of several American and British universities), in France and other countries like USA, UK, Italy, Holland, Germany, Japan ... which regularly publish their works in translation. Jacques Derrida has devoted several texts that show the complicity between his thought and that of the writer. Cixous has published nearly fifty books, including fiction, plays and essays, influential in the field of postmodernism and feminist criticism.
