Henk Boom (1945) was a correspondent in Spain for the Financieele Dagblad and De Tijd. In recent years he has written books with a historical character that have been translated into Spanish, German and Turkish. His book De Grote Turk (2010) was nominated for the best journalistic book and the AKO Literature Prize.
