Isabel Gómez studied Pedagogy; She has a degree in Education and a Master's in Educational Sciences, at the University of Los Lagos, Santiago Headquarters.

Her work has been published in numerous anthologies and dictionaries, both in Chile and abroad.

In 1997 she received the Pablo Neruda Award.
