Ethnomusicologist, member of the American Ethnomusicology Society and jazz pianist, has lived for a long time in Latin America. Responsible for numerous musical broadcasts in France Culture and several documentaries, among his books include "La Salsa et le Latin Jazz" (1993), "Du tango au reggae: musiques noires d'Amerique Latine et des Caraïbes" (1996) and "Music of the Caribbean" (1998).
