James Boswell

James Boswell

James Boswell (Edinburgh, 1740-London, 1795). He studied law at the University of Glasgow. He made numerous trips to Europe, in which he also interacted with relevant figures of his time. The result of all this is, among others, Boswell on the Grand Tour: Germany and Switzerland (1763-1764), An Account of Corsica (1768) or the Journal of a Tour to the Hebrides (1785). But his major work is the biography of Johnson (whom he met in 1763) that we present for the first time in Spanish today.
