Javier Landeras Savadíe

Javier Landeras Savadíe (Madrid, 1955) is a business lawyer for ICADE with more than thirty years of personal and professional connection to the Far East. He resided in Japan for fifteen years, where he exercised managerial responsibilities for leading Spanish financial institutions such as the Banco Exterior de España (currently BBVA) or Banco Santander. Upon his return to Spain in 1998, he left the financial sector to pursue other professional activities in the field of human resources and consulting in foreign trade matters. He has collaborated with the Superior Council of Chambers of Commerce (today the Spanish Chamber of Commerce) and with various chambers of commerce in matters related to business in Japan. He has lectured in chambers and universities related also to business in Japan and China and to international negotiation. He has collaborated with Expansión, Cinco Días, El Correo, La Voz de Galicia, Capital Humano and RNE5. He is the author of How the Japanese Do. A cultural approach to negotiating with Japan, published in 2014 on the occasion of the Spain-Japan Dual Year, which celebrated 400 years of relationships, with great echo in business circles and among lovers of Japanese culture.
