Javier Serena (Pamplona, 1982) has a degree in Journalism and has collaborated with various periodicals. He has won several literary awards. He has been a literary creation scholar at the Antonio Gala Foundation. In 2009, the Diputación de Córdoba published its novel Las torres del Carpio. The wasteland season was a finalist for the 2011 Young Narrative Prize of the Complutense University of Madrid.
