He has a degree in Social Communication Sciences from the Regiomontana University, a Master in Methodology from the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon and a PhD in Educational Sciences from the Universidad Iberoamericana Noroeste. His current field of interest is Communication and institutions. It is ascribed to the Lines of Generation and Application of Knowledge Political Regimes, Governance and Institutions and Political Thought and Contemporary Social Processes. His research project for the period 2015 - 2017 is Institutional learning for organic governance. Participates in the Consolidated Academic Body Postgraduate in Political Science. It has the recognition of the Promep Desirable Profile and the corresponding of the National System of Researchers. His teaching activities include preparatory, bachelor, specialty, masters and doctorate, inside and outside the country. He has directed 11 theses that have allowed the attainment of bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees. He is the author of 2 books, 7 chapters of collective books, 7 articles in refereed journals, 11 articles in indexed journals, 8 articles in electronic academic journals, 4 papers published in extensive memoirs at international conferences and is co-author of 2 technical research reports , published. In addition, he has participated in opinion columns, with a total of 69 collaborations, in newspapers of national and local circulation. He has been a lecturer in various forums and institutions in the country and abroad. He collaborates as an evaluator in editorial committees of 7 Latin American indexed journals and is an assessor of the Conacyt in postgraduate studies abroad and accreditation of national postgraduate programs. He has participated in the curricular design and restructuring of undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs, both at the level of coordination, collaboration and external evaluation. He carried out 2 national and foreign research stays, both with published products. He was Regional Director of the Latin American Federation of Social Communication Faculties in the period 2000 - 2002.
