John Molyneux (1948) is a British Trotskyist, scholar and writer. A senior member of the Socialist Workers' Party, before retiring to Ireland, where he became an active member of the Irish SWP. Molyneux was a professor at the School of Art, Design and Media at the University of Portsmouth. During his stay in Portsmouth, he organized a series of demonstrations, including the 2003 demonstration against the Iraq war in London. In January 2009 he was arrested for organizing a peace demonstration against Israeli attacks in Gaza.
