Jonathan Evans is associate professor of medieval languages and literature at the University of Georgia and director of UGA Medieval Studies teacher.
He has deeply studied the mythology related to the myths and traditions of dragons, especially with regard to Beowulf, the saga of the Völsungs and other legends of the first Germanic literature.
He specializes in old English literature as well as in Old Norse culture and all the works of JRR Tolkien, about which he has published a bibliography.
Now Dragons deals with the study and modern retelling of 20 myths and legends about dragons and dragon slayers and dragon slayers of ancient literature, classical and medieval.
