Jordi Font i Rodon (Tarragona, 1924) is a medical doctor from the University of Barcelona, specialist in psychiatry. He graduated in philosophy and theology (University of Frankfurt) and Jesuit priest. He was professor of the Professional School of Psychiatry at the UB (1964-1982), director of the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health Hospital Sant Pere Claver (1965-1987) and co-founded the Vidal i Barraquer Foundation (1964), which it is now standard. It has been awarded the Jordi Gol Prize, awarded by the Academy of Medical Sciences of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands (1989), the medal Narcís Monturiol to the scientific and technological progress (2004) and the Cross Sant Jordi of the Generalitat of Catalonia (2004). He has published several books and articles on religious experience and mental health.
