He graduated in Economics from Southwestern University in Austin, Master in International Management ITAM and a doctorate in law from the UNAM, received the Mark Kaplan Award for his research Drugs in Mexico in the XXI century. Having chaired the Citizen Forces Party, he was elected deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Federal District by the Social Democratic Party, and during his period boosted the recognition of Societies of Coexistence, the legalization of abortion in the DF and the Law on Sexual Reassignment.
