Doctor in Scientific-Social Studies in the line of research on Politics and Society at the Technological Institute and Higher Studies of the West (ITESO). Master in Territorial Impacts of Globalization in Peripheral and Central Spheres by the International University of Andalusia, Seville , Spain, revalidated in Mexico as a Master in Sustainable City and Public Space (ITESO) Graduate in Sociology from the University of Guadalajara, Graduate in Philosophy from the Universidad del Valle de Atemajac, Guadalajara, Diploma in Education for Peace from ITESO.

He is a professor in the Master's in Public Policy and Management at the Universidad Iberoamericana de León from January 2012 to date. He has participated as an advisor and synodal for a master's thesis at ITESO, at the Universidad Iberoamericana León and at the University of Guadalajara.

He is a member of the Editorial Board and columnist for El Puente, a monthly publication in southern Jalisco from 2003 to date; He is a columnist in the Archdiocesan Weekly of Guadalajara since July 2014, and has been a columnist in the Christus Magazine since November 2008.
