Jorge Valdés Díaz-Vélez. Writer and Mexican diplomat born in Torreón, Coahuila, in 1955. He was founder and director of the House of Culture of Saltillo, Coahuila. As a Career Member of the Mexican Foreign Service, who was admitted by public tender in 1993, she directed the Cultural Center of Mexico in Costa Rica and the Institute of Mexico in Spain. He has served in the embassies in Argentina, Spain, Costa Rica, Cuba, Morocco and Trinidad and Tobago, and in the Consulate General in the American city of Miami, Florida. In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he has served as director of Conventions and Programs, director of Cultural Diffusion, and project director of the 2010 Commemorative Activities abroad.
