José Antonio López Cerezo

José Antonio López Cerezo is Professor of Logic and Philosophy of Science at the University of Oviedo. Since 1999, he has been the coordinator of the CTS thematic network of the science program of the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI). He is also, since 2007, research coordinator of the Scientific Culture Unit of the Center for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research (CIEMAT) in Madrid. His training as a researcher took place at the universities of Valencia (Spain) and Helsinki (Finland). Subsequently, he has been a visiting professor at the Pennsylvania State University, the Technical University of Budapest, the Brooklyn Polytechnic University, the University of Havana, the Virginia State University, the Lisbon University Institute and the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is a member of various international scientific associations and editorial boards in Spanish and foreign specialized magazines. He has been a member of the International Committee for the Ethics of Science (of the International Conference of Scientific Unions) and of the Visions Committee of the Society for Social Studies of Science; as well as advisor to the Encyclopedia of Science, Technology and Ethics (Macmillan Reference USA) and co-director of the Cambridge University Press "Science, Technology, Society and Innovation" collection. He is currently co-director of the Iberoamerican Journal of Science, Technology and Society. His main academic interest is focused on the study of social and philosophical aspects related to science and technology, within the interdisciplinary field of work known as "science, technology and society. "(CTS). In this field, it has numerous specialized articles, including publications in magazines and international collections.
