He was born in Tijuana, Baja California, on July 17, 1959. Poet, essayist and translator. He lives in Monterrey, Nuevo León. He has a degree in Spanish Letters from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at El Paso and a PhD from El Colegio de Michoacán. Professor of Renaissance, Baroque and Contemporary Poetry Literature at UANL; he was director of Los Twelve Tubes and Loaf. Collaborator of Casa del Tiempo, El Buscón, La Gaceta del FCE, La Tempestad, Letras Libres, Plural, Punto, Renacimiento y Siempre !. Member of the National System of Art Creators (2007-2009 / 2011-2013 / 2015-2018). National Prize for Literature Simón Salazar Mora 1986.
