José Luis Pérez Flores has a degree in archeology from the National School of Anthropology and History, a teacher and a doctorate in art history from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is currently a full-time professor-researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí. His lines of research include pre-Hispanic and indigenous Christian art of the 16th century, art theory and the analysis of museum collections. He is the first editor of the collective book Hercules in Ibero-American Myth, History and Art: Stories of a Figure of Power and Domination (Universidad Iberoamericana / Colsan / UASLP, in press).
