José Manuel Arango (El Carmen de Viboral, October 5, 1937 - Medellín, April 5, 2002) was a Colombian poet, translator, philosopher, and essayist. His poetry is rigorous and elaborate, almost all made up of short poems that include an enormous cultural heritage and a sensitivity that is expressed in monologues and hermetic allusions.
