José Maria Castillo

Born in Puebla de Don Frederic (Granada) in 1929, Doctor in Theology from the Gregorian University in Rome, has been a professor (Professor) of Dogmatic Theology at the Theological Faculty of Granada. And visiting professor at the Gregorian University in Rome, at the University of Comillas (Madrid) and the Central American University (UCA) in San Salvador. In May 2011 he was inducted as honorary doctor from the University of Granada. Founder and member of the Governing Board of the Association of Theologians John XXIII. He has published, among other books, the following: Prayer and Christian life (1969), The Christian alternative (1978), Symbols of Freedom. Theology of the Sacraments (1981), Theology for communities (1990), The Poor and theology. What remains of liberation theology? (1998), The Kingdom of God. For the life and dignity of human beings (2000), God and our happiness (2001), The ethics of Christ (2005) and The Costume Carnival (2006).
