Josef  Pieper

Josef Pieper (1904-1997) authored over 50 books translated into fifteen languages​​, is one of the writers and most notable Catholic thinkers of the postwar era and one of the undisputed masters of philosophy of Christianity. He exercised his academic teaching for over fifty years and from 1940 until his death he was professor at the University of Münster where he formed and influenced hundreds of disciples both secular and religious Germans and foreigners. He was awarded numerous literary prizes and academics, also exercising his teaching universities in Canada, USA and Spain. Throughout his long academic life tried to instill enthusiasm Pieper on issues of philosophy through plain language and common understanding.
