Born in Buenos Aires in 1954. He graduated and PhD in chemistry from the UBA, facing Biological Chemistry. In 1974 he began his teaching career at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, where he now works as a professor in the Department of Biological Chemistry. Since 1976 he began working at the Institute of Experimental Biology and Medicine under the CONICET, organism in which currently serves as principal investigator. He is coauthor of more than sixty international publications .. He has given over a hundred popular science lectures on topics of molecular biology, cloning and biological chemistry.
