Juan Carrete Parrondo

Juan Carrete Parrondo (Madrid, 1944) is a Spanish art historian, specialized in graphic art (engraving and lithography) and cultural management.

He has a doctorate from the Complutense University of Madrid, tutor professor at the National University of Distance Education. He has published numerous books and articles. He has been Director of the National Calcography, the Conde-Duque Cultural Center, Medialab Prado and Intermediae-Matadero Madrid. He was the main promoter of the project "Itineraries of sound", curated by María Bella and Miguel Álvarez-Fernández, and developed jointly by the Conde-Duque Cultural Center and the Residencia de Estudiantes (where he has been part of the selection board of scholarship holders ).
