Juan Martín Prada (Madrid, 1971) is a professor at the University of Cádiz (Spain). He has written numerous articles and essays on contemporary art theory and visual studies in magazines such as EXIT Express, EXIT Book, Estudios visuales, Fibreculture-The Journal, REIS, Red Digital, FLUOR, Papers d'Art, A minima, Transversal, DEFORMA or in the "Cultura / s" supplement of La Vanguardia, among other printed and digital publications. His books include The Postmodern Appropriation. Art, Appropriation Practice and Postmodernity Theory (2001), The New Conditions of Contemporary Art (2003) and Another Time for Art. Questions and comments on current art (2012). In Ediciones Akal he has published Artistic practices and the Internet in the era of social networks (2012, 2nd expanded edition 2015) and Seeing and images in the time of the Internet (2018).
