Kate Schatz

Writer, editor, educator, mom, vegetarian activist, left-handed, and feminist from San Francisco Bay. His work has been published in LENNY, Buzzfeed, Signature, Brightly, Oxford American, East Bay Express, Denver Quarterly and Joyland, among others. He directed the Chair of the School of Literary Arts at the Oakland School of the Arts, where he taught fiction, poetry, and journalism for many years. She received her MFA in Fiction from Brown University and a double degree in Women's Studies and Creative Writing from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is a co-founder of Solidarity Sundays, a national network of feminist activist groups, and lives with her family on the island of Alameda.
