Kris Van Steenberge (Lier, Belgium, 1963) is a novelist, playwright, stage director and teacher. He debuted in 2013 with the novel Vesania, inspired by his grandfather's stories of World War I and awarded in 2014 with the Bronzen Uil, the prestigious award for best first novel in Dutch.
