Lazaro Gabriel Marquez Escudero. He is originally from Tecate, B.C., Mexico. He completed his undergraduate studies in English Language Teaching at the Autonomous University of Baja California. He has a specialty as an English teacher with an international standard (Certificate for Overseas Teachers of English) from the University of Cambridge, England. He also obtained his Master's degree in Education from the Center for Technical and Higher Education (CETYS University) and recently received an honorable mention as a Doctor of Education whose thesis topic was "Impact of linguistic competence in the development of translation competence, particularly when carrying out a direct translation, in the students of the disciplinary and terminal stage of the degree in translation of the Faculty of Languages ​​of the UABC Campus Tijuana". Dr. Márquez currently works at the Faculty of Languages ​​of the Autonomous University of Baja California, where he has served as Director since May 2015. Prior to this position, he held the position of Deputy Director of the same faculty in its Tecate extension. He has taught the Bachelor of English Language Teaching, Bachelor of Language Teaching, Bachelor of Language Teaching, and Master of Modern Languages ​​since 2005.
