Leticia Ruifernandez. I was born in Madrid, where I studied architecture. I work creating books as an illustrator and sometimes I also write them. I have published more than forty books and have received both national and international awards. In addition to working for other publishers, I develop other more personal works, such as travel notebooks or a series of artistic calendars that I have been editing for 20 years.
Much of my love for painting and books I try to convey in the creativity workshops that I offer to people big and small. I love coordinating ephemeral painting murals, in which up to three hundred people participate.
I have been living in a small town in Cáceres with my family for fifteen years. Living in nature greatly inspires my work. This is where I have the studio where I create my books, which have been published from Canada to Korea.
Now I am starting an editorial project called Continuous Paper to be able to carry out some of my own books.
