Lluís Quintana Trias (Barcelona, 1953) He is a professor of Catalan language and literature at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He has published studies on authors of contemporary Catalan literature (Foix, Pla, Calders). On Maragall, he published the monograph La veu misteriosa. The literary theory of Joan Maragall (1996). His book on snobbery, La Paradox of Majordom (2000), was recognized with the 1999 Josep Vallverdú Prize. He has studied the presence and presentation of individual and collective memory in Beyond all punishment. From silence to repair (2012) and in The recovered moment (Fragmenta, 2021). In Arte y blasfemia (Fragmenta, 2019) he studied the "Veronese case" as a model of the confrontation between the artist and the ecclesiastical power. He currently directs the critical edition of the complete work of Joan Maragall, in the process of being published in Edicions 62.
