Maggie Nelson

Maggie Nelson (1973) is a writer whose works, somewhere between essay, autobiography, theory and philosophy, defy any classification. She is the author of titles such as Bluets (2009), The Art of Cruelty (2011, named Notable Book of the Year by the New York Times) or The Argonauts (2015, National Book Critics Circle Award). She has been awarded the MacArthur Fellowship, the Creative Capital Literary Grant, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Guggenheim. She is also a professor at the University of California, and is married to artist Harry Dodge.
