I was born in Valencia, in the month of July. I was born yellow, they put me in the sun and called me Mar. I think that's why I like summer almost as much as cats, boys and girls, books and poetry. Then I went to live in the forest, and since then I also like trees, frogs and squirrels. Those are my favorite things.

I write, recite and play, not in that order, but with the same enthusiasm. I have many books. And I like to visit schools and libraries, to be with people of all ages playing with words and poems.

I think the world has beautiful things but also many horrible things, that's why I try to look for beauty through poetry, because everything that she touches always remains a little more beautiful.
