Marcelino Freire

Writer, he has published five story books and won the Literary Prize of the National Library Foundation in 2014. He is the author, among others, of Angu de Sangue (Cuentos, 2000), eraOdito (Aforismos, 1998/2002) and BaléRalé (Tales, 2003), all published by Ateliê Editorial, São Paulo. With Cuentos Negreros (2005) he won the Jabuti prize for literature in 2006 for the best storybook, and has been translated into Spanish for Argentina and Mexico. He lives in São Paulo since 1991.
