Marcelo Pakman

Marcelo Pakman was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he attended elementary school and graduated in medicine. Lives since 1989 in western Massachusetts, in New England, USA. Community psychiatrist, psychotherapist and family therapist, has had a prolonged clinical practice systemic basis as well as in the development of links between critical theory, philosophy, epistemology, on the one hand, and clinical practice in psychotherapy and mental health, on the other . As part of the disciples of Bateson, explores an interdisciplinary fields of science, art, philosophy, religion and social practice approach. He is on the Editorial Board of multiple professionals in North and South America and Europe magazines, and has published numerous articles and book chapters in English, Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese. He chaired the Human Rights Committee and was vice president of the American Family Therapy Academy and Vice President of the American Society for Cybernetics. Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Social Science Polytechnic Institute of Hong Kong (2004-2009). Dr. Pakman is a frequent guest lecturer and teacher who has taught courses, seminars, workshops in over 80 cities in North America, South America, Europe and Asia
