He is an archaeologist from the National School of Anthropology and History of Mexico. Master in Classical Archeology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​doctor in the same specialty from the Catalan Institute of Classical Archeology and the Rovira i Virgili University of Tarragona, Spain in the line of research: The artistic productions of antiquity, sculpture, mural painting , mosaics.

He has specialized in Mexica archaeology, history and culture, in military archeology both in the Mesoamerican sphere and in the classical Mediterranean world. He has participated in various archaeological research projects in countries such as Mexico, Spain and Israel, among which the Magdala project stands out. He is the author of the books: Brief History of the Aztecs, Arms among the Mexica and Aztec Warriors, among other articles in specialized magazines and joint publishing projects such as the Oxford Handbook of the Aztecs.

He is currently a professor of history and archeology in the undergraduate degree in history at the Universidad Anáhuac México. In the Postgraduate in Mesoamerican Studies of the UNAM, in the Doctorate in Humanities of the Anahuac University of Mexico. Member of number, (148) of the Spanish Association of Military History. He is a full-time researcher at the Center for Research in Ancient Cultures of the Universidad Anáhuac México.
