María Dolores Jiménez-Blanco

María Dolores Jiménez-Blanco Carrillo de Albornoz (Granada, 1959) is an art historian. Since 1998 she is Professor of Art History III (Contemporary) in the Department of Art History of the Faculty of Geography and History of the Complutense University of Madrid. Her interest is mainly focused on the art of the twentieth century, and its lines of Work includes: art and politics, collecting and museums, and Juan Gris and Cubism. In 2017, she was appointed King Juan Carlos I Professor of Spanish Culture and Civilization, New York University. Since 2018 she has been director of the Department of Art History of the Faculty of Geography and History of the Complutense University of Madrid.

Since 2013 he is a member of the Royal Board of the Prado Museum and a member of its Permanent Commission. It is also part of the Technical Commission of the Andalusian Center for Contemporary Art.
