Marie Luise Knott (Cologne, 1953) studied Romance languages and Political Science in Cologne and Constance. He lives in Berlin as a freelance journalist, translator and author. For many years he worked as a translator, editor and journalist; Later he led the German edition of Le Monde Diplomatique. Since 1986, he researches and writes about the work and thought of Hannah Arendt. She is the author of various writings on art and literature, a study on Hannah Arendt and poetry, as well as editing the correspondence between Hannah Arendt and Gershom Scholem, 1939-1964.
