Maurizio Balistrer

Dr. Maurizio Balistreri was born in Turin, Italy, in 1970. He is a researcher in Moral Philosophy and teaches Bioethics and Applied Ethics at the Department of Philosophy and Education Sciences of the University of Turin. He is a member of the Interdepartmental Center for Ethical Studies in the military field and was president of the Bioethics Committee of the Celio Military Polyclinic from 2005 to 2013. She is currently in charge of the scientific secretariat of the University Bioethics Committee. In addition to numerous articles and essays on bioethics, he has published the books Ethics and Human Cloning, Ethics and Novels, Human Cloning Before Dolly, The Future of Human Reproduction and, his most recent and controversial essay Sex Robot. Love in the Time of Machines, where he introduces us to the fascinating world of sex of the future, addressing without taboos the ethical questions that the large-scale commercialization of sex robots will raise. He has also served as a keynote speaker on the television program TED.
