Michael Jakob is professor of history and theory of landscape architecture in the Haute École du Paysage, d'Ingénierie et d'Architecture in Geneva, associate professor at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and professor of comparative literature at the University of Grenoble. He is founder and director of the International Journal of Comparative Literature Compar (a) ison and directs "Paysages" (Infolio) collections and "di monte in monte" (Tarara '). Among his works include L'émergence du paysage (2004), Paysage et temps (2007) and Le Paysage (2008).
