Doctor. in Classical Philology from the Complutense University of Madrid. His doctoral thesis, from which this book emerges, won the Special Prize of 2005 has developed his research at Harvard, Oxford and Zurich, and taught Greek language and literature at the University of Oviedo. He is the author of several studies on religion, philosophy and literature and ancient Christianity of the first centuries, published in Emerita, Ilu, Revue de l'Histoire des Religions and Revue de Philosophie Ancienne, among others. Is currently working at the University of Bologna Protrepticus a comment to Clement of Alexandria.
