Miguel Tapia

Miguel Tapia was born in Culiacán in 1972. He has studied engineering, literature, music and journalism, and has practiced these and other trades in his hometown, Mexico City, Barcelona and Paris. He is the author of the storybooks Los caimanes (Almadía, 2007) and Señor de Señores y Los caimanes (Almadía, 2010). His stories have appeared in several anthologies, including North. An anthology (Eduardo Antonio Parra, compiler, Ediciones Era, 2016) and Des nouvelles du Mexique (François Gaudry, compiler, Métailié, 2009), as well as in different Mexican and international magazines. He has also published translations and essays, as well as the collective online project literarywiki.org. He has a doctorate in Latin American literature from the Sorbonne-Nouvelle University Paris 3, where he has taught since 2012. Los rioes errantes is his first novel.
