
Mimunt Hamido Yahia was born into a family of Moroccan origin and spends the first 18 years as a stateless person in Melilla. After she came of age, already recognized as Spanish, she settled in the Peninsula and trained as a chef. She has worked in Andalusia, Aragon, Madrid, Catalonia, France and England, and currently she lives in Istanbul, where she directs a Mediterranean gastronomy project.
Witnessing the spread of political Islam in Europe and the Maghreb, she Hamido begins to create feminist discussion groups. She is a member of the MediterráneoSur association (M'Sur) and coordinator of the blog NoNosTaparán (nonostaparan.org), a forum for the expression of Maghreb women. Since 2018 she has participated in numerous talks and round tables in Granada, Valencia and Barcelona.
