Barcenas Mine. "She was born in Havana, Cuba in 1965. Since 1991 she has lived in Mérida, Yucatán. Graduated in Computer Engineering, ISPJAE, Havana. She studied Graphic Design at CELA, Mérida. Since 1990 she has attended different Photography and Graphic Design workshops in Cuba He has had individual exhibitions at the Centro de la Imagen, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Xalapa, Mérida, Belize and Cuba.He has participated in multiple collective exhibitions.He has received several awards and mentions in photographic contests, among which the 1st prize stands out. at the VII Bienal de Artes Plásticas de Yucatán.He has obtained the FONCA-ICY Creators Grant in 2002 and 2006 and the Karrvaz Grant, Spain in 2007. His images have appeared in books and magazines, among them Aperture, Cuba:Image and Imagination."
