Mónica Rodríguez was born in Oviedo, Spain (1969) and resides in Madrid since 1993. He studied Physical Sciences and did a master's degree in Nuclear Energy. In October 2009 he left his job at a research center to devote himself entirely to Children and Youth Literature. He has obtained more than twenty awards and recognitions, among which are: The Gran Angular Prize of the SM Spain Foundation, and the Cervantes Chico Prize for his more than forty published works.
