(1938-2008) studied philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires and Mexico, where he was exiled. He was principal investigator of CONICET and professor at the National University of Quilmes and in Buenos Aires, where he led the Seminar on Intellectual History. He was a founding member of the Club of Socialist Culture and joined the editorial board of the journal Viewpoint. Besides books published by Siglo XXI Argentina, deserve mention Pursuit of Argentina ideology, Positivism and nation in Argentina, José Ingenieros: thinking the nation, Aníbal Ponce, is the nation Marxism without ?, among others. Through his work and his teaching work, Oscar Teran became a central reference in the field of intellectual history and the history of ideas in Latin America and Argentina.
