Paul Hersch Martinez

Mexican, doctor graduated from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana. Diploma in Clinical Phytotherapy from the Université de Montpellier (France) and doctor in Social Sciences and Health from the University of Barcelona. Senior researcher in the area of ​​Medical Anthropology and Ethnobotany at the National Institute of Anthropology and History, whose curator is the Museum of Traditional and Herbal Medicine. Member of the SIN level II, is a member of the National Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Mexican Society of Clinical Phytotherapy in collaboration with the French Society of Endobiogenesis and Medicine. Currently coordinates the project "Social Actors of Medicinal Flora in Mexico". He has published the books Introduction to Social Medicine and Public Health in conjunction with Dr. Fernando Mora (1985 and 1990), Common Destination. The gatherers and their medicinal flora (1996 and 1999), and Medicinal Plants: an account of a confiscated possibility (2000), as well as various chapters in books and research articles.
