He is a systemic family psychotherapist, psychoanalyst, director of the Milan Center for Family Therapy (CMTF), Professor of Dynamic Psychology at the University of Bergamo. Author of books and essays in Spanish, Italian, English and French. In his clinical career he worked on psychosis, eating disorders, hysteria and psychosomatic disorders in family and individual systemic therapy. He currently works in ethnoclinics with people who need political asylum and humanitarian protection. He is also involved in critical studies on autism, biographies of ezquizophrenic and marginalized writers and literatures (Lucia Joyce, Louis Wolfson, Jean-Jacques Abrahams) and in social and domestic violence. He has reflected on literary characters such as Pasolini, Joyce, Bajtin, Kristeva, and among his teachers are Gregory Bateson, Luigi Boscolo (his first psychoanalyst) and Gianfranco Cecchin.
