Rafael Arjona Matas was born in Villanueva de la Concepción, Malaga, Spain. He is a civil servant, a poet, a painter and the author of several books of poetry for children and also for adults. He writes flamenco songs, for which he has won several awards. He has exhibited his pictorial work in various rooms and galleries.
