Rafael Malpartida Tirado, full professor at the University of Málaga, is a specialist in sixteenth-century Humanism and in the relations between cinema and literature. He has participated as a member of the jury in various film festivals and has been a participant in summer courses and seminars on film language, cinema as a didactic tool, the biopic of literary and cinematographic adaptations of literary texts. In terms of the Japanese field, YasujirobOzu, Akira Kurosawa, Hideo Nakata and Takashi Shimizu have dedicated their work, as well as dedicating the IV Literature and Film Conferences of the University of Málaga, held in 2013 to the Japanese spectral cinema.
