Rex Martin. He is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Kansas. He received the Fulbright National Endowment for Human Sciences and was a Rockefeller Foundation Research Fellow. He taught as a visiting professor at the University of Auckland and was a research fellow at the School of Historical Studies at the Institute of Advanced Studies at Princeton and the Center for Philosophy and Public Affairs at the University of St Andrews. He is the author of numerous publications, including Historical Explanation: Re-enactment and Practical Inference (1977) and Rawls and Rights (1985).
