Ricky Dávila Wood, born in Bilbao in 1964, a photographer in substance and a writer at heart, Ricky Dávila has been shooting his camera around the world for 25 years. Graduated from the ICP in New York and after two decades living in Madrid, Dávila's photography, paid in the early years to reporting and travel, has evolved over time towards a more melancholic and misty look. Age things. In the rear-view mirror, a score of individual exhibitions, inside and outside of Spain, and half a dozen books, including Manila, Iberica, Clouds of a sky that does not change or All things in the world. The author currently lives in Bilbao, where he directs the Center for Contemporary Photography, writes the occasional poem and devises artistic projects such as Los Cuadernos de Remo Vilado, the visual vademecum of his altered ego.
